Victims
Nilsen killed 16 and possibly more young boys in Europe from 1978 to 1983. Dennis Nilsen's victims were usually males in their 20's. He would meet his victims in the streets or at pubs, and ask them to have a drink with him. He would end up taking his victims home and sleeping with the boys. He would usually strandle or drown his victims after the realization that they would soon be leaving. He would keep the victims' bodies hidden around the apartment, occasionally taking them out to spend time with them.
Stephen Dean Holmes
Stephen was the first of the 16 victims. Stephen died on December 29, 1978. He was 14 years old when he was murdered. Nilsen claimed to have met the boy in an Irish pub, and then later invited him home with him. Nilsen realized his new friend would soon leave him, so he took his tie, and strangled him until he became unconscious. He then proceded to drown Stephen. He kept the boys corpse under the floorboards for seven and a half months until he removed the body to burn it in a bonfire. Dennis Nilsen confessed to the murder of Stephen Dean Holmes in January of 2006.

Kenneth Ockendon
Kenneth was Dennis' second victim. Kenneth met Dennis on December 3, 1979. They met at a pub and drank for several hours. They then took a tour of London, and ended up back at Dennis' apartment. Dennis hated the idea of his Canadian friend flying back to his home. In fear of his friend leaving him, he strangled Kenneth with an electrical cord. Dennis hid Kenneth's body under the floorboards, taking him out every now and again for company. He says he would take Kenneth from beneath the floorboards so he could sit with him and watch tv with his friend.

Malcom Barlow
Malcom was an orphan who had mental problems. Nilsen found Malcom loitering outside his aparatment, complaining about his epilepsy. Nilsen called an ambulance to help Malcom. When Malcom was released from the hospital, he returned to Dennis' apartment, and Nilsen invited him in for a drink. When Malcom fell into a deep sleep, Dennis realized he liked Malcom and didnt want him to leave. Dennis strangled Malcom and placed him in the cabinets under the sink. He told police he would sometimes take the victims out from their 'hiding spots' to sleep with him in his bed for weeks at a time.
